MIDHILL was founded in 2008 in Foshan, the heart of Chinese furniture craftsmanship. Our founder, Mr. Kong, began with a single belief: that light-luxury, French-inspired furniture should feel elegant, but stay honest in its materials.

Every piece pairs the warmth of solid oak with the richness of Italian full-grain and ecological leather, finished with stainless steel accents. The result is furniture that reads as refined from across the room, and reveals its quality up close.

— What We Believe

Four principles. No exceptions.

Honest Material

We only use FSC-certified hardwoods — oak, walnut, ash, teak. No veneers pretending to be solid.

Time, Properly Spent

Logs air-dry for 18 months before cutting. Each piece passes through 28 finishing steps.

Eastern Joinery

Mortise-and-tenon, dovetailed drawers, wedged tenons. Traditional joints that outlast the people who built them.

2008

The beginning

MIDHILL is founded in Foshan, China's furniture heartland, by master craftsman Mr. Kong with a single belief: light-luxury furniture should be elegant yet honest in its materials.

2010

The atelier grows

The Foshan workshop expands its atelier, pairing solid oak with Italian full-grain and ecological leather, finished with stainless steel accents. Craftsmanship refined, piece by piece.

2018

Showroom in Foshan

MIDHILL opens its flagship showroom at Lecong International Furniture City, Shunde District, Foshan — one of China's premier furniture hubs.

2022

Shipping worldwide

MIDHILL's trade program launches, exporting handcrafted pieces to the Americas, Europe, Australia and across Asia.

2026

Direct-to-home

The MIDHILL.com direct-to-home store opens. The same atelier pieces, now available worldwide without the showroom middleman.
