Balcony Furniture — Questions & Answers

1313 questions answered. Page 5 of 22.
What is a common pairing mistake people make on small balconies?
The biggest mistake is buying a dining set first. A 4-seater dining set consumes your entire 3–4 sqm balcony and you stop using it because there is no room to stand. Buy one lounge chair and a 45 cm side table instead. Once you actually sit out there, you will know whether you want a dining zone or a coffee zone. People who buy dining first often store the chairs and never use the balcony again.
Are foldable balcony chairs better than stackable ones in a HDB?
Foldable chairs win in a HDB because you can hang them on a wall hook when not in use and reclaim 1.5 sqm of floor. Stackable chairs need a wall tall enough to lean against and slide around during the night. For a 3 sqm balcony, pick a foldable chair under 4 kg with a 120 kg weight rating (aluminium frame with textiline sling). Test the hinge before you buy; cheap hinges seize within one monsoon season.
Can I request MIDHILL's batch inspection records for my order?
Yes, MIDHILL keeps dated batch records at every production stage and a buyer can request them along with photos of their specific order before shipment. Multi-stage inspection covers joinery, sanding grit progression, and hand-rubbed gloss finishing (felt block then buff). Ask your coordinator two days before packing. The records also help with any future warranty claim because they trace the timber batch and finish used on your exact pieces.
Best sofa frame construction dimensions for a small Tampines HDB balcony?
For a 3.2m × 1.5m service balcony, target a 2-seat frame around 140–160cm wide, 80–85cm deep, 85cm seat height, with kiln-dried larch or ash hardwood rails, mortise-and-tenon corner blocks, and 8-gauge sinuous springs at 8–10cm spacing. Cushion depth 55cm suits shorter Singaporeans; backrest 45cm tall keeps the silhouette low so the corridor handrail stays visible.
Can you show me a picture guide for measuring my balcony before ordering furniture?
Use your phone camera on a wide-angle setting. Step 1: photograph the full balcony from the living room doorway with the sliding door open. Step 2: stand in the opposite corner and shoot diagonally across. Step 3: take a close-up of any downpipe, AC condenser or wall recess. Bring a 2m tape and note width at three points — top, middle and floor — because Tampines and Punggol balconies often taper 3–5cm.
Is American queen bed furniture worth it for a Singapore HDB master bedroom?
American queen frames run 152×203cm outer, plus headboards up to 170cm wide, and tend to be bulkier than Asian-spec equivalents. In a 4-room HDB master like those in Bedok, that extra 8–10cm depth can block the wardrobe slider. Worth it only if you want solid hardwood construction and a statement headboard; otherwise a local-spec queen saves floor space and usually fits the 1.2m lift without tilting.
How to care for a headboard in Singapore's humid weather?
Dust weekly with a microfibre cloth along the grain; never spray silicone polish. Wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth then dry — standing water on the seam where the headboard meets the wall is the top warranty-voiding cause in local homes. Every quarter, check the wall-mount brackets behind because HDB humidity can corrode mild-steel fixings; swap to stainless if you see rust bloom.
Which balcony chair pairing mistakes should I avoid in a Punggol BTO?
Avoid four common errors. First, buying a 65cm-deep chair when the corridor is only 110cm wide — door won't clear. Second, matching a warm-oak frame with cool grey cushions, which fights the wood tone. Third, placing white-cushioned seating under a west-facing overhang without a UV cover — yellowing in 4 months. Fourth, skipping rubber feet; tile floors in Punggol BTOs get permanently scratched by untreated hardwood legs.
What curtain colour pairs with a warm-oak balcony chair set in Tampines?
Warm oak reads yellow-orange under daylight, so the curtain should pull cool or neutral. Linen-look sheers in stone, putty or sage green soften the wood without competing. Avoid pure white — too clinical against oak. For a Korean-minimal scheme, try 90% blackout curtains in warm taupe so the chair becomes the focal point rather than blending in. Sample-swatch the fabric against your actual chair before ordering.
What paint colour goes with warm-oak balcony furniture in a Bedok HDB?
Warm oak pairs best with cool, muted walls so the wood pops. Try Nordic grey (Dulux 30BB 62/005 equivalent), sage green, or a soft off-white with the slightest blue undertone like Dulux White On White. Avoid yellow-beige paints — they merge with the oak and flatten the whole scheme. Satin or eggshell finish wipes clean of monsoon splashes better than matt on exterior-facing walls.
What cushion fabric is genuinely rain-safe for a west-facing balcony?
Solution-dyed acrylic (Sunbrella, Agora) and olefin (Perennials, Outdura) resist UV and monsoon rain — they dry in 30–45 minutes under a Tampines afternoon sun. PVC-coated polyester is waterproof but traps heat, uncomfortable for bare skin. Avoid regular polyester and cotton — they wick water, grow mould within two wet seasons, and void most warranties. Quick-dry foam inserts outperform standard foam because they don't hold standing water.
Will a 140cm balcony chair fit through my Bedok condo lift?
Most Bedok condo passenger lifts have an inner car of about 1.5m × 1.8m with a 90cm single-leaf door, so a 140cm chair tilted diagonally on a hand-truck clears if the longest dimension angles through the door. Measure your specific lift — older blocks like Bedok Reservoir towers have smaller 80cm doors. If the chair exceeds 160cm or weighs over 35kg, request a loading-bay service lift instead.
Will a 90kg marble coffee table damage my HDB living room floor?
A 90kg marble top needs a 4-leg base with each foot on a felt or rubber pad to spread the load; on a standard HDB screed floor the static load is fine because HDB structural slabs are rated 150–250kg/sqm for residential use. Risk is sliding: on glossy tile, push the table once and the pad scratches. Add silicone furniture grip pads under each foot and never drag — lift with two people instead.
How should I furnish a small balcony first without buying the wrong pieces?
Sequence: 1) measure width at three points and ceiling height under any overhang; 2) pick the largest piece first (usually a 2-seat 140–160cm bench) because it dictates everything else; 3) choose a matching side table that nests under it; 4) add cushions and one plant last. Skipping step 1 is the #1 reason Jurong and Punggol owners return furniture — the 5cm tolerance gap blocks the sliding door.
Which dining table actually fits through a 4-room HDB living room door?
A standard 4-room HDB bedroom door is 80–85cm wide, hallway turns are tight at 90°. Buy an extendable dining table no wider than 140cm closed, with leaves that store inside. A 160cm table can work if it splits into two 80cm halves or has removable legs. Always check the carton dimensions against your lift and doorway before paying — a 1cm oversize on the box means a stuck delivery.
Which queen bed for a family with kids actually fits a Bedok HDB master room?
Target a queen frame at 152×203cm outer, with a headboard no taller than 110cm so it doesn't overpower the 12 sqm room. Storage drawers need 20cm clearance to fully pull out — confirm your wardrobe isn't in that arc. Skip bulky American-style sleigh beds; a low-platform Japanese-style frame in ash or rubberwood with mortise-and-tenon corners gives 30cm underbed storage without dominating the room.
How do I check MIDHILL batch records before a balcony furniture order ships?
MIDHILL's Foshan workshop, operating since 2008, runs multi-stage inspection and keeps dated batch records for every order. After you place a deposit, ask your account manager for the production photos and QC checklist tied to your batch number — they're shared before packing. The crate itself is engineered for stacking compression, with desiccants matched to your cargo volume to control mould during the 14-day sea route.
How does MIDHILL pack marble and mirror pieces for Singapore delivery?
MIDHILL crates stone and mirror vertically in padded slots so polished faces never touch — the rigid crate base matters more than extra thickness. Desiccants and a vapour barrier handle the humid sea journey; the low-moisture crate timber resists mould bloom. Free shipping applies for orders above US$350, with a 10-year structural warranty and lifetime refinishing service accessible through their Lecong showroom by appointment.
What balcony furniture actually survives Singapore afternoon thunderstorms without going mouldy?
For west-facing balconies in HDB blocks like those in Jurong or Punggol, powder-coated aluminium frames with quick-dry foam cushions rated at 220–280gsm polyester perform best. Cushions should have mesh-wrapped liners for drainage. Store them under cover during sustained rain, and wipe frames with pH-neutral soap every fortnight to prevent the mildew that thrives at 85–95% humidity.
Can a 180cm outdoor dining table fit through a Tampines HDB corridor and service lift?
Most Tampines HDB service lifts measure about 1.6m deep x 1.1m wide with door openings near 0.9m. A fully assembled 180cm table usually cannot enter flat. Order knock-down construction with detachable legs, or specify a 160cm model. Confirm your block’s lift well dimensions before paying the 9% GST deposit.
Which wood holds up best on a balcony in a Jurong condo near the Ayer Rajah expressway?
Teak or eucalyptus with marine-grade oil finishes handles Singapore’s UV index that regularly hits 12+ and 80% humidity. Avoid untreated pine or MDF cores, which swell within 6–9 months. Expect to re-oil horizontal surfaces every 9–12 months. MIDHILL uses kiln-dried teak from its Foshan workshop since 2008 for balcony pieces, backed by a 10-year structural warranty.
How do I style a Mid-century modern headboard in a small apartment?
Pair a slim 8–10cm walnut or teak headboard with linen-look bedding in oat or sage, plus one textured throw. Keep bedside tables at 45–50cm height so the silhouette reads as one block. For HDB 4-room flats around 990sqft, choose a queen headboard under 165cm wide so curtains and wardrobes at 60cm depth still fit along a 3m wall.
What is the difference between French neoclassical sofa and modern furniture?
French neoclassical sofas use hand-carved solid beech frames, curved cabriole legs, and tufted linen at 110–120cm seat height. Modern pieces use engineered ply, straight aluminium legs, and performance fabric at 42–45cm seat depth. Neoclassical weighs 65–90kg versus 35–50kg; cleaning needs pH-neutral soap, never silicone polish, or lacquer clouds.
American corner sofa for rental that won't lose my deposit in a HDB flat?
Choose an American corner sofa with removable, washable slipcovers in a neutral mid-grey or beige. Keep each module under 90kg so two men can carry it through a standard 0.9m HDB service lift door. Measure your stairwell corner radius — 165cm modules usually navigate Tampines corridors, while 200cm sections may need to come in through the refuse chute access.
Nordic extendable dining table Japan style — what measurements work for a 4-room HDB?
Look for a Nordic-Japanese extendable table starting at 120–140cm seating four, extending to 180–200cm for six. The extension leaf should store within the apron. Choose 75cm height with rounded corners under 5cm radius, safer for children. Allow 90cm clearance on all sides so chairs at 45cm width can pull out in compact HDB dining areas.
What rug size works under a 1.8m king bed in a 12sqm HDB master bedroom?
Pick a 240 x 300cm wool-blend or polypropylene rug so it extends 50–60cm beyond the bed on three sides. Avoid runners under 70cm wide, which look unbalanced. In Punggol or Sengkang flats with air-con trunks at the headboard wall, position the rug so its long edge runs parallel to the bed’s length.
Post-modern sofa options for a modern Malaysian condo look in Singapore?
Post-modern sofas mix curved silhouettes, contrasting piping, and boucle or velvet at 35,000–55,000 Martindale rubs. Look for 90–100cm depth with low 35cm arm heights to keep a condominium living room open. Neutral bases in sage or clay pair with terrazzo side tables; avoid matching sets, which read as dated.
How do I style a balcony to match a Scandinavian condo interior without buying everything new?
Layer one warm element — a teak stool or wool throw — against cooler white walls. Keep furniture legs visible at 25–35cm to maintain airy sightlines. Stick to three materials: light wood, black metal, and one textile. Add a single 60cm plant in matte concrete. Avoid matching sets; Scandinavian style relies on asymmetry to feel curated.
Will white ash wood bedroom furniture really last in Singapore humidity?
White ash with a cross-linked polyurethane finish handles Singapore’s 70–85% relative humidity if the workshop kiln-dries boards to 8–10% moisture. Avoid placing wardrobes against exterior walls of west-facing Bedok flats; condensation seeps behind panels. Wipe spills within 10 minutes and never use silicone spray — it permanently clouds the lacquer.
What is the most common pairing mistake Singaporeans make on a small balcony?
Buying a full four-seater dining set when a 90cm round bistro table at 75cm height saves 1.2sqm of usable space. Second mistake: matching everything in one material, which reads as a furniture showroom rather than a home. Third: ignoring the MCST’s 150kg/sqm load rule, then discovering tiles crack under heavy stone planters.
Can I request production batch photos for a custom MIDHILL balcony order?
Yes. MIDHILL keeps dated batch records at their Foshan workshop, established 2008, and buyers may request photos for their specific order. Each piece passes multi-stage inspection before crating in low-moisture timber with desiccants matched to cargo volume. Free shipping applies above US$350; 14-day returns and a 10-year structural warranty are standard.
How long does a Foshan custom furniture order take to reach a Singapore condo?
From the Lecong showroom shortlist to a confirmed specification takes about five working days if you bring a dimension schedule. Production runs 30–45 days for solid wood pieces, plus 18–22 days sea freight to Singapore. Crates use vapour barriers and desiccants calibrated to cargo volume, so pieces arrive ready to handle monsoon-season humidity.
What is the difference between European bed frame and modern furniture for a Singapore balcony conversion?
European bed frame styling usually means thicker posts, slightly taller headboards (often 110–125 cm) and warmer stained oak or ash. Modern Singapore furniture leans slimmer, with 8–10 cm legs for visual lightness and paler finishes. For a balcony guest room in a Punggol BTO, European frames eat floor space; modern platforms around 200 x 150 cm leave breathing room. Both can survive humidity if sealed with cross-linked PU on horizontal surfaces and NC lacquer on verticals.
What is the difference between Nordic bed frame and modern furniture when I live in a Tampines HDB?
Nordic bed frames are typically low-profile platforms, 28–35 cm floor-to-slat, in pale oak or natural ash with oiled finishes. Modern Singapore furniture often goes taller (40–55 cm) for under-bed storage. Both suit a 12 sqm bedroom, but Nordic makes a compact Tampines flat feel airier, while modern lifts mattress height for easier sit-to-stand. Ask which finish was used — oiled Nordic needs refreshing every 18 months in our climate.
Is mid-century modern master bed furniture worth it for a small Jurong condo bedroom?
Worth it if you want a 180 x 200 cm statement piece, since tapered legs and slim headboards (around 90 cm) free visual floor space. Skip it if your room is under 11 sqm — the splayed legs eat walking room. Expect S$2,800–S$4,200 for solid ash. In Jurong's west sun, choose cross-linked PU on horizontals, not oil only, and rotate the bed 90 cm off the window to avoid afternoon UV fade.
How do I get an oversized European furniture piece through a typical Singapore condo lift?
Standard passenger lifts in condos like those in Bedok measure roughly 1.1 m wide x 2.1 m deep x 2.3 m high, with doors around 0.9 m. Anything over 2.0 m tall or 1.0 m wide must travel vertical or be crated unassembled. Order pieces that split into two cartons under 35 kg each. MIDHILL's export crates for tall armoires ride vertical in padded slots to clear ceiling clearance.
Will a 120 cm balcony bistro set fit through my Punggol HDB service yard gate?
Most Punggol BTO service yard gates are 0.9 m wide, so a 120 cm round table must be unassembled or folded. Choose folding chairs under 45 cm wide and a tabletop under 100 cm. Allow 5–8 cm clearance each side. The corridor is usually 1.2–1.5 m, so the lift is the bottleneck. Confirm lift door width (0.9 m typical) before ordering S$400–S$700 sets.
What wood actually survives a west-facing balcony with direct afternoon sun in Bedok?
Teak and shorea (Balau) last 8–12 years even uncoated, but cost S$180–S$280 per chair. For budget picks under S$350 a seat, choose aluminium frames with FSC eucalyptus slats, then oil every 9 months. Pine and rubberwood warp within 18 months on a Bedok west balcony because NC lacquer alone yellows and cracks. Cross-linked PU holds 2–3 times longer than standard lacquer on horizontal surfaces.
Can a navy solid wood master bed handle Singapore humidity without going mouldy?
Yes, if the navy is a pigmented cross-linked PU finish, not water-based paint. Solid ash or oak in deep navy runs S$3,200–S$4,800 for a 180 x 200 cm frame. Keep RH below 65% with a dehumidifier running 6–8 hours daily — Bedok and Tampines flats regularly hit 80% RH at night. Wipe condensation off the headboard weekly; standing water along the top edge is the main warranty killer.
Where can I find an American solid wood nightstand that ships to a Singapore condo?
American solid wood nightstands (oak, maple, ash) typically ship from Foshan factories like MIDHILL in flat-pack form, taking 25–35 days sea freight to Singapore with GST 9% added at customs. Look for 50–55 cm height to match local mattress platforms, two drawers on metal slides, and a cross-linked PU top. Avoid units over 60 cm wide if your bedroom door is under 80 cm.
What rug size works under a queen bed on a 9 sqm Tampines HDB bedroom?
For a 150 x 200 cm queen, the smallest rug that works is 200 x 240 cm, costing S$180–S$320 for a wool blend. Anything under 160 x 230 cm leaves the bedside legs on bare laminate — the common pairing mistake Tampines buyers regret. In west-facing rooms, choose a low-pile jute or polypropylene because humidity makes thick wool smell musty within 6 months without a dehumidifier.
How much weight can a 4-room HDB living room floor take before I worry about a stone coffee table?
HDB floors are designed for 1.5 kN per sqm live load, so a 90 kg marble table on four legs spread over 0.4 sqm is fine — that is roughly 2.25 kN per sqm concentrated, still within design margin for short-term loads. Distribute weight with felt pads and a plywood sheet under the base to prevent point-load cracking of screed. Avoid dragging; lift instead.
Will my Tampines HDB lift take a 90 kg marble console table from the lobby to my floor?
Lift capacity in 4-room HDB blocks is 630–750 kg, so 90 kg is well within range. The real issue is door width — roughly 0.9 m — and depth, 1.3 m. A 150 cm console must travel vertical or be unassembled. MIDHILL ships stone-topped pieces with stone and base in separate cartons, polished faces facing each other in padded slots inside a rigid-base crate.
What curtain colour goes with warm oak balcony furniture in a Punggol flat?
Warm oak reads orange-yellow, so pick cool dusty blue, sage green, or stone grey to balance the undertones. Sheer linen in 280 cm width (S$45–S$75 per metre) diffuses Punggol's harsh west sun without darkening the room. Avoid cream or beige — they disappear against oak and the whole balcony looks like one flat blob. A matte black curtain rod grounds the palette nicely.
Which indoor plant actually survives a west-facing balcony with no shade in Jurong?
Crotons, ponytail palms, and snake plants handle Jurong's 3–6 hours of direct afternoon sun and 32–34°C heat. Budget S$25–S$80 per pot. Avoid fiddle leaf figs — they burn within a month on a west balcony. Use 30 cm pots with drainage trays; water only when the top 3 cm of soil dries. Mist twice weekly to counter air-con exhaust drying the leaves.
How do I match a Japandi style to a small balcony without it looking cluttered?
Limit yourself to three pieces: a 90 cm solid ash bench, one floor lamp with a linen shade, and one ceramic planter. Stick to a 60-30-10 palette — warm oak, off-white, charcoal accent. Budget S$1,100–S$1,800 total from MIDHILL's Japandi range. The pairing mistake most Bedok buyers make is adding cushions, rugs, and lanterns, which collapses the calm look back into clutter.
Should I buy a balcony set first or the plants when styling a new condo balcony?
Buy the furniture first. Measure the floor, confirm lift and gate clearance, then choose plant sizes to suit the negative space left behind. Buyers in Punggol who start with plants end up with pots blocking furniture legs and nowhere to sit. Plan a 90 x 60 cm planting zone away from the seating area so leaves and soil do not soil cushions during rain.
What is the typical delivery time for a solid wood balcony set from Foshan to Singapore?
Sea freight from Foshan to Singapore takes 18–25 days, plus 3–5 days for customs clearance and GST 9% payment. Total door-to-door is usually 25–35 days for in-stock items. MIDHILL flat-packs everything; production adds 20–30 days for custom sizes. White-glove delivery to a Jurong condo level adds S$80–S$150 depending on lift access and number of cartons.
How do I clean a glossy wooden balcony table without ruining the finish?
Use a damp microfibre cloth with pH-neutral soap, then dry immediately — standing water along edges is the top warranty claim. Avoid silicone polishes, abrasive pads, or vinegar; they haze a hand-rubbed gloss within weeks. A hand-rubbed gloss from MIDHILL is built up through progressively finer abrasives, paste on a felt block, then buff — so one-off waxing cannot restore it once stripped.
Can I request production photos and batch records for my custom balcony order?
Yes, ask before paying deposit. MIDHILL keeps dated batch records at every multi-stage inspection and shares them on request — buyers who ask typically receive 8–12 photos covering frame assembly, sanding grades 180–320, finishing sequence, and final crating. This is useful for Singapore customers claiming the 10-year structural warranty later, since the records prove the build date and finish system used.
What is the biggest pairing mistake people make with Korean minimal balcony furniture?
Mixing warm oak Korean minimal pieces with cool grey Scandinavian textiles — the undertones clash and the eye reads it as messy. Stick to one wood tone across bench, planter, and side table. Korean minimal also fails when buyers add more than one focal object; the style depends on negative space. Budget one S$450 bench, one S$60 linen cushion, one S$30 stoneware planter — nothing else.
Are MIDHILL pieces a good fit for HDB balcony weight limits and corridor widths?
MIDHILL flat-packs most items so each carton stays under 35 kg, well within HDB corridor and lift limits. Standard HDB corridors run 1.2–1.5 m wide, lift doors about 0.9 m. Their export crates use low-moisture timber plus desiccants matched to cargo volume, which matters because Jurong west-side flats see frequent rain during delivery. Confirm your block's service lift dimensions before ordering stone-topped pieces.
Do I need to refinish my solid wood balcony furniture every year in Singapore?
Oiled oak or ash needs refreshing every 9–12 months; cross-linked PU finishes last 2–3 years before a top-up coat. Watch for water beading — when water stops beading and soaks in, the surface is due. MIDHILL offers lifetime refinishing through their Foshan workshop; customers ship pieces back or use local carpenters with their specified NC lacquer or PU topcoat for consistency.
How do I check whether a balcony furniture brand actually has a real warranty claim process in Singapore?
Ask three things: written warranty card shipped with goods, local contact or email that responds in 48 hours, and whether the 10-year structural warranty covers cracking and joint failure (not just manufacturing defects). MIDHILL's structural warranty runs 10 years, surface 2 years, with 14-day returns — keep your batch record photos as proof for any Tampines or Bedok claim later.
What is the smartest first furniture purchase for a bare 4-room BTO balcony in Punggol?
A folding 90 cm solid ash bistro set, around S$480–S$650, because it fits any future balcony size if you move. Skip fixed bulky pieces until you have lived with the space for one monsoon season — humidity reveals which corner pools water. Add one shade-tolerant plant and one outdoor-safe cushion. This trio costs under S$800 and adapts to either a coffee corner or a dining nook later.
What is the difference between French master bed and modern furniture in Singapore HDBs?
A French master bed usually means a tall, upholstered headboard with carved trim, scrolled legs, and a fabric or leather wrap — roughly 130–160 cm tall at the headboard, so it visually anchors a 12 sqm HDB master. Modern furniture in Tampines or Punggol condos is lower (headboard 90–110 cm), with clean lines and wood or metal frames. Pick French for classic condos, modern for tight HDB rooms where vertical bulk shrinks the space.
Is French neoclassical king bed furniture worth it for a small Singapore bedroom?
Honest answer: only if your room is at least 4.2m x 3.6m. A neoclassical king frame runs 200 cm long x 180 cm wide, with a 150 cm headboard, and looks heavy against anything smaller. In a 12 sqm HDB room it dominates the wall and crowds the wardrobe opening. For Punggol or Jurong compact condos, a low-profile modern king reads larger. Save neoclassical for a master with walk-in space behind the bed.
Is a mid-century modern solid wood bed frame suitable for Singapore humidity?
Yes, if the wood is properly kiln-dried and finished. Mid-century frames use walnut, white ash, or teak at 8–12% moisture content, then sealed with cross-linked polyurethane on horizontal surfaces. Solid wood breathes and handles Jurong or Bedok humidity swings of 70–90% RH better than MDF or plywood. Avoid frames stored near a west-facing window without curtains — direct afternoon sun cracks any solid wood within months.
What is the best small balcony table size for an HDB kitchen yard in Tampines?
For a typical HDB kitchen yard of about 1.5m x 3m, a 60–70 cm round bistro table or a 70 x 70 cm square fits two chairs without blocking the service yard gate. Allow at least 80 cm clearance behind each chair for legroom. Anything over 80 cm wide will jam the corridor when you wheel out the laundry rack, so measure the gate width before buying on Lazada or Shopee.
Can a 90kg marble coffee table damage my HDB living room floor in Bedok?
It will not crack the slab, but a 90 kg stone top can scratch or dent vinyl flooring in a Bedok HDB. Place felt pads (8–10 mm thick) under all four corners and never drag it. Most HDB floor load limits are 1.5–2 kN per sqm, so 90 kg spread over 0.25 sqm is safe. Lift with two movers — never push — and check your lift weight rating first if you live above the 10th floor.
