Fabric Sofa — Questions & Answers
1111 questions answered. Page 1 of 19.
Is a European sofa too big for an HDB flat in Singapore?
Not really, most 3-seater European sofas fall between 200–220cm wide and 85–95cm deep, which slips through a standard HDB door (about 90cm wide opening once the doorstop is factored in) and rides fine in a passenger lift with 1.5m depth. For a 4-room in Tampines or Punggol, an L-shape with a 160cm chaise usually fits the living-dining zone without blocking the corridor walkway (leave at least 90cm clear).
Where can I find a small French neoclassical sofa under S$2,500 in Singapore?
A genuine small French neoclassical sofa (curved back, fluted legs, linen-blend cover) typically retails S$2,200–S$2,800 locally. MIDHILL lists this style from around S$1,950 ex-showroom at their Lecong (Foshan) workshop, with sea-freight to Singapore adding about 18–25 days. Order the 160cm 2-seater if your HDB corridor turn is tight — the 190cm version will not pivot at the letterbox corner.
Can a fabric sofa survive Singapore's humidity without going mouldy?
Yes, provided the inner frame uses kiln-dried solid wood (not raw MDF) and the cover is removable for washing. Keep the sofa 15cm off the wall so air circulates behind, run the aircon for 2 hours daily, and avoid placing it directly below a window that gets afternoon rain. A monthly wipe with a slightly damp microfibre cloth — never standing water — keeps mould spores from settling into the weave.
How wide is a sofa that will fit through a HDB lift?
Standard HDB passenger lifts measure roughly 1.5m deep and 1.1m wide inside, with a door opening of about 0.9m. Any sofa segment under 1.85m long and 0.85m high will ride vertically inside the lift. Corner sofas usually arrive in two pieces under 1.6m each, so delivery crews rejoin them inside your flat. Measure the corridor turn at your block first — older flats in Tiong Bahru have tighter corners than new BTOs in Punggol.
What rug size should I pair with a 3-seater fabric sofa?
Go for a 200x280cm or 240x300cm rug, with the front sofa legs sitting on the rug and the back legs off. In a Tampines 5-room, this anchors the living zone without crowding the dining area 1.5m away. Pick a low-pile wool or cotton rug in a tone 1–2 shades darker than your floor — anything too fluffy traps humidity in Singapore's climate and is harder to dry after a spill.
How much does a good fabric sofa cost in Singapore with GST?
A solid 3-seater fabric sofa from a direct workshop runs about S$1,800–S$3,200 before 9% GST. Adding delivery (S$80–S$150 for one floor, S$20 per extra floor above 3rd), expect to land near S$2,300–S$3,800 all-in. Showroom pieces at Ngee Ann City or Tan Boon Liat typically sit 25–40% higher because of local rent and middleman margin.
Do fabric sofas stain easily if I have kids or pets?
Performance linen-blend and treated polyester weaves resist most spills if you blot within 5 minutes — never rub, as that pushes the stain deeper. Removable, machine-washable covers are a lifesaver in HDB households with toddlers. For cat owners, pick a tight weave over boucle; loose loops catch claws and pill fast. A fabric protector spray reapplied every 6 months adds another layer of defence.
What's the best curtain colour to pair with a grey fabric sofa?
Warm whites and oat tones make a grey sofa feel cosy without competing with it. For a Korean minimal look in a Punggol BTO, try sheer off-white linen curtains hung 10cm above the window frame to fake ceiling height. Avoid cool blue-grey curtains — they flatten the room under Singapore's bluish-white LED lighting. A subtle 1.5x fullness ratio keeps the drape elegant without overwhelming the wall.
What cushion filling holds shape best in a tropical climate?
High-resilience (HR) foam wrapped in a down-feather jacket holds its shape longest in Singapore's heat, because the foam resists humidity-induced sagging while the feathers stop it feeling stiff. Pure feather cushions look plump but flatten within a year; pure foam feels hot and rigid. Ask for zippered cushions so you can refresh the filling every 3 years — most direct factories offer this as a paid service around S$60–S$90 per cushion.
Should I buy a sofa first or the TV console first when furnishing a new BTO?
Buy the sofa first, because it dictates the room's circulation path and the TV console's ideal length. Measure your living room, mark a 90cm walking corridor between sofa and console, then size the console to fit — a 150–180cm console suits most 4-room BTOs. MIDHILL's space saving TV console for entryway models start at 120cm wide and 30cm deep, slim enough for tight Punggol or Jurong entryways without blocking the door swing.
What is the standard warranty on a fabric sofa bought from China direct?
MIDHILL offers a 10-year structural warranty on frame and joinery, 2 years on surface finishes, and lifetime refinishing for solid wood pieces. Fabric covers typically carry a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects, excluding wear, pilling, and colour fade from direct sunlight. Warranty claims are reviewed case-by-case with photo evidence — keep the written cleaning instruction that ships with your order, as most voided claims trace back to abrasive or high-pH cleaners.
Can I return a sofa if it doesn't fit my HDB flat?
Most direct factories allow 14-day returns on stocked pieces if the item is unused and in original packaging. Custom-made sofas (your chosen fabric, size, or leg finish) are usually non-refundable because they cannot be resold, though deposits may be transferable. Measure your lift, corridor, and front door before ordering, and photograph the access path on delivery day — drivers who cannot complete delivery due to access issues may still levy a fee.
Which curtain length works with a low-profile Japandi sofa?
Floor-grazing curtains that just kiss the floor suit low Japandi sofas best — aim for the fabric to break 1–2cm past the floor or sit 1cm above it. Avoid puddling curtains in Singapore; the extra fabric traps dust and humidity against the floor. A 230cm drop covers most HDB windows without hemming, while 250cm works for floor-to-ceiling condo windows in new launches at Tengah or Dairy Farm.
What is the best floor lamp shape next to a fabric sofa?
A slim arched floor lamp with a 150–170cm reach works best beside a sofa, because the curved arm throws warm light over the seating area without a bulky base stealing floor space. Choose one with a linen or paper shade in cream to soften Singapore's harsh LED glare. Position it 15cm behind the sofa arm so the cable runs along the wall, not across the walking corridor.
What interior style suits a curved-back fabric sofa best?
A curved-back fabric sofa sits naturally inside Korean minimal and Japandi interiors, where soft silhouettes balance clean lines. Pair it with light oak flooring, a cream bouclé cushion, and one potted bird-of-paradise or fiddle-leaf fig in a matte terracotta pot. Skip ornate gold mirrors, heavy Persian rugs, or dark walnut furniture — these pull the room toward traditional Victorian and fight the sofa's gentle curves.
Are MIDHILL sofas suitable for Singapore HDB and condo living rooms?
Yes — MIDHILL, a Foshan solid wood furniture maker established in 2008 exporting to 15+ countries, builds sofas sized for compact Asian living rooms. Their 3-seaters typically run 195–215cm wide, comfortable for a Tampines 4-room or a Punggol condo. Frames use kiln-dried solid wood to resist Singapore humidity, and a 10-year structural warranty covers joinery. Visit the Lecong showroom by appointment, or arrange a video spec review from Singapore.
What paint colour goes with a beige fabric sofa?
Soft greige (grey-beige) walls like Nippon Paint Bamboo Beige or Dulux Natural White make a beige sofa sing. For a bolder look in a Jurong condo, try a muted sage or dusty terracotta accent wall behind the sofa, then keep the other three walls neutral. Avoid pure white — it makes beige look yellow under Singapore's warm lighting. A satin or low-sheen finish hides minor wall imperfections better than glossy paint.
How thick should a solid wood sofa frame be for daily use?
A durable hardwood sofa frame uses legs and rails at least 4cm thick and 6cm wide, with mortise-and-tenon joints rather than staples or screws alone. Softer woods like pine work only if kiln-dried to under 12% moisture content; anything wetter warps within a year in Singapore's climate. MIDHILL specifies frame dimensions in their written quotation, so you can compare before paying a deposit.
What plants pair well with a fabric sofa without attracting mozzies?
Snake plants, ZZ plants, and peace lilies thrive in shaded corners near a sofa and do not hold standing water in their leaves, so they don't breed mosquitoes. Place one tall snake plant (90–120cm) in a woven basket beside the sofa arm to soften the corner. Avoid ferns and money plants in open water trays — these attract insects fast in HDB corridors and lift lobbies.
Common pairing mistakes Singaporeans make with fabric sofas?
Three mistakes come up most often: choosing a sofa too deep (over 95cm) so legs dangle, pairing a light beige sofa with dark heavy curtains that fight the airy look, and placing the sofa directly under the aircon vent where condensation drips onto the fabric. Another common error is buying a rug too small — a 160x230cm rug under a 220cm sofa looks like a bathmat. Measure first, then buy.
How wide is a sofa that will fit through an HDB lift?
For most HDB flats in Tampines or Bedok, the standard lift width is 110cm. A 3-seater fabric sofa should be under 100cm wide to fit easily through the door and down the corridor. Always measure your lift and hallway before buying. Some condos in Jurong have wider lifts at 120cm, but it's safer to assume the standard. A 2-seater is a safer bet for smaller spaces.
Can a fabric sofa survive Singapore's humidity?
Yes, if it's made with the right materials. Look for high-density foam cushions that resist sagging and synthetic fabrics like microfiber or polyester blends that are moisture-resistant. Avoid cotton-only fabrics as they absorb humidity and can develop mould. For added protection, consider a sofa with removable, washable covers. Regular vacuuming and using a dehumidifier in your living room will also help extend its lifespan in our humid climate.
What cushion filling holds its shape best in a tropical climate?
High-density foam with a polyester wrap is the best choice for Singapore's heat and humidity. It provides firm support and resists compression better than down or feather fillings, which can clump. A foam core with a thin layer of memory foam on top offers a good balance of comfort and shape retention. For a cooler feel, some brands use gel-infused foam, but ensure the core is dense enough to prevent sagging over time.
What curtain colour to pair with a grey fabric sofa?
For a grey sofa, curtains in charcoal, navy, or a soft dove grey will create a sophisticated, monochromatic look. To add warmth, consider beige, cream, or olive green. In a bright condo, light-filtering linen or cotton blends in neutral tones work well. For a dramatic touch, charcoal grey velvet curtains can make a statement. Ensure the curtain length is just above the floor or pools slightly for a polished finish.
How thick should a solid wood sofa frame be for durability?
A durable solid wood sofa frame should have a minimum thickness of 3cm for the main supports like arms and backrests. Look for frames made from hardwoods like oak, rubberwood, or mango wood, which are sturdy. For legs, a thickness of 5cm or more is ideal to prevent wobbling. Cheaper sofas often use thinner, softer woods or particleboard, which can crack or warp in Singapore's humidity, so always check the specifications.
What is the difference between a French neoclassical sectional sofa and modern furniture?
A French neoclassical sectional sofa is characterised by ornate details, curved silhouettes, and luxurious fabrics like velvet or brocade, often featuring carved wood legs. In contrast, modern furniture emphasises clean lines, simplicity, and neutral colours, using materials like metal, glass, and light-coloured woods. Neoclassical is about opulence and tradition, while modern is about minimalism and function. Your choice depends on whether you prefer a dramatic, historical look or a sleek, contemporary aesthetic for your space.
How wide is a standard sofa for an HDB living room?
A standard 3-seater sofa for an HDB living room is typically 180-200cm wide. This size comfortably fits most HDB flat layouts, from a 4-room flat in Bedok to a 5-room flat in Tampines. For smaller spaces, a 2-seater sofa at 140-160cm wide is a better option. Always measure your living room space, including the corridor width, to ensure the sofa can be moved in without issues. Leave at least 50cm of walking space around it.
What curtain length works with a low-profile Japanese-style sofa?
For a low-profile Japanese-style sofa, opt for curtains that end just above the floor (around 1-2cm) or 'break' slightly (pooling 2-5cm on the floor). This maintains the clean, minimalist aesthetic of the sofa. Floor-to-length curtains can overwhelm the sofa's sleek lines. Choose lightweight fabrics like linen or cotton in neutral tones to complement the sofa's understated design and keep the room feeling airy and uncluttered.
How do I clean a fabric sofa in Singapore's humid climate?
For regular cleaning, vacuum your fabric sofa weekly with a soft brush attachment to remove dust and prevent it from settling into the fabric. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth—never rub, as it can spread the stain. Use a fabric-specific cleaner tested on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive water, which can lead to mould in our humidity. Always follow the manufacturer's care instructions, which are provided with your order.
What is the best way to protect a fabric sofa from pets?
To protect a fabric sofa from pets, use a washable, pet-friendly slipcover that can be easily removed and cleaned. Place throws or blankets on high-traffic areas where your pet likes to sit. Regularly trim your pet's nails to prevent snagging the fabric. For cats, provide scratching posts nearby to deter them from using the sofa. Consider choosing a tightly woven, durable fabric like microfiber or tweed, which is more resistant to claws and stains.
What is the delivery time for a fabric sofa in Singapore?
Delivery time for a fabric sofa in Singapore typically ranges from 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the brand and whether the item is in stock. Local retailers may offer faster delivery (3-5 days) for ready stock items. For custom or imported pieces like those from MIDHILL, allow 4-8 weeks for production and shipping. Always confirm the estimated delivery date with the seller, especially if you have a specific timeline for moving into your new condo or HDB flat.
What is the difference between French headboard styles?
French headboard styles vary in detail and grandeur. The classic Louis XV headboard is rounded and ornate with carved details, while Louis XVI is more geometric and straight-lined. The Napoleon III style is highly decorative with intricate carvings and upholstery. A simpler French provincial headboard features more rustic, carved wood elements. The choice depends on whether you prefer a bold, opulent look or a more understated, elegant feel for your bedroom.
What is a Japandi corner sofa and where can I find one in Dubai?
A Japandi corner sofa blends Japanese minimalism with Scandinavian design, featuring clean lines, functional forms, and a neutral colour palette. It's ideal for maximising space in a living room. In Dubai, you can find these at specialised furniture stores like IKEA or local boutiques that focus on minimalist designs. Online retailers such as Wayfair or MADE also offer Japandi-inspired corner sofas. Look for pieces with natural wood frames and light-coloured fabrics to achieve the authentic Japandi aesthetic.
What is a post-modern sectional sofa suitable for rental properties?
A post-modern sectional sofa for a rental property should be durable, stylish, and easy to move. Look for one with a modular design that can be reconfigured to fit different spaces. Choose a neutral colour like grey or beige to match various decor styles. Opt for a sofa with removable, washable fabric covers to handle wear and tear. Materials like microfiber or performance fabric are stain-resistant and easy to clean, making it practical for rental living in Singapore's humid climate.
How should I arrange my living room with a fabric sofa?
Start by placing your fabric sofa facing the room's focal point, like a TV or window. In a Singapore HDB flat, position it parallel to a wall to maximise space. Add a coffee table in front and armchairs or a loveseat to create a conversation area. Ensure there's at least 45cm of walking space around the furniture. Use a rug to anchor the seating arrangement. This layout promotes flow and makes the room feel balanced and inviting.
What are the benefits of a solid wood sofa frame?
A solid wood sofa frame offers superior durability and stability compared to particleboard or MDF. It can withstand Singapore's humidity better if properly constructed, resisting warping and cracking. Solid wood, like oak or rubberwood, provides excellent support for the seating, preventing sagging over time. It's also more aesthetically pleasing, with a natural grain that adds warmth to your decor. While more expensive upfront, a solid wood frame is a long-term investment that can last for decades with proper care.
What is the best way to arrange furniture in a small condo with a fabric sofa?
In a small condo, place your fabric sofa against the longest wall to create an immediate sense of structure. Use a loveseat or two armchairs instead of a bulky sofa if space is tight. Choose furniture with exposed legs to create an airy feel. Hang curtains high and wide to make the ceiling appear taller. Use a large, light-coloured rug to define the living area and make it feel more spacious. Keep decor minimal to avoid cluttering the space.
How wide should a 3-seater fabric sofa be to fit a Tampines 4-room HDB living room?
Most 4-room HDB living rooms in Tampines measure roughly 3.2–3.6m wall-to-wall once the TV console is placed. A 3-seater at 180–210cm wide, 85–90cm deep, leaves about 90cm behind for walking. Measure the lift door (usually 80cm) and corridor bend before ordering, so the sofa does not get stuck on delivery day. Many Punggol families with kids prefer the 200cm size because it fits without blocking the balcony access.
What fabric sofa colours stay cool-looking in a non-aircon Jurong flat?
Light grey, oatmeal, sage, and dusty blue reflect more light and feel fresher than dark navy or charcoal. Avoid pure white in flats near a construction site because dust shows fast. A woven texture hides sweat marks better than a flat weave. Pair the fabric with a removable, washable slipcover so Jurong homeowners can rotate covers during the hotter months without buying a new sofa.
Are sectional fabric sofas okay for small Bedok condo living rooms?
Yes, but stick to a left-facing chaise under 240cm total, or a compact L-shape around 210 x 160cm. Anything longer will block the corridor to the kitchen. Check your lift opening (Bedok blocks often use 80cm doors) and the corridor width before confirming the order. A reversible chaise lets you reconfigure when you shift flats, which many young couples in Bedok do every 3–4 years.
Can I order a custom-sized fabric sofa for my HDB in Singapore?
Yes, most Foshan workshops offer custom sizing at no extra charge for width adjustments between 160–260cm. Send your lift door width, corridor width, and ceiling height before paying the deposit. Production usually takes 25–35 days, sea shipping another 14–21 days, so budget roughly 6 weeks total. GST on the import value is payable on entry, and the courier will call to schedule a Saturday slot.
Is a velvet-touch fabric sofa hot to sit on in Singapore?
Velvet-touch polyester feels warmer than linen or cotton blends because the dense pile traps body heat. In aircon bedrooms it is fine, but in a west-facing Jurong living room it can feel sticky by 4pm. Choose a velvet with a woven cotton backing for breathability, and rotate cushions weekly so the pile wears evenly. Light colours also help reflect radiant heat off the surface.
How often should I vacuum a fabric sofa in Singapore?
Vacuum twice a week with a soft upholstery brush to lift dust before it embeds into the weave. Once a month, use a damp microfibre cloth and plain water—never a high-pH cleaner or silicone polish, as those void most surface warranties. If you have pets in your Punggol or Tampines flat, add a lint roller pass on the arms where fur clings most. Rotate loose cushions monthly to even out wear.
Do fabric sofas attract dust mites in a humid Singapore climate?
Yes, humidity above 70% lets dust mites thrive in any soft furnishing. Vacuum weekly, run the aircon with a dry mode for 2 hours daily, and place the sofa at least 15cm from the wall so air circulates behind it. Sun-cushioning for 2 hours monthly between 11am–1pm helps, but never leave the whole sofa in direct rain on the balcony. Anti-mite fabric sprays are safe on most polyester blends.
What curtain length works with a low-profile fabric sofa in a HDB?
Curtains that fall 1–2cm above the floor look cleanest with a low-profile sofa, because long puddling curtains compete visually with the seating. For a 2.6m ceiling in a Tampines flat, aim for a pole 240cm from the floor with fabric 235cm long. Linen-look polyester in ivory or warm beige softens the sofa lines without overwhelming a compact living room.
Which cushion filling keeps its shape in tropical heat?
High-resilience foam wrapped in a down-feel polyester fibre holds shape best because the foam core resists sagging while the fibre keeps the sit soft. Pure down-feel filling flattens within 8 months in non-aircon rooms, and 100% foam feels stiff in Singapore's warmth. Ask the maker for foam density 28kg/m³ or higher. MIDHILL uses this dual-layer construction across its fabric sofa range for that reason.
What rug size pairs with a 3-seater fabric sofa?
A 200x280cm or 240x300cm rug works with a 180–210cm sofa. The front legs of the sofa should sit on the rug, not behind it, so the room reads as one zone. In a small Bedok condo, a 160x230cm rug is acceptable but visually shrinks the seating area. Choose a low-pile wool-look polypropylene so it does not trap humidity under the sofa.
Where can I sit-test a fabric sofa in Singapore before ordering?
The MIDHILL showroom at Lecong, Foshan, welcomes buyers who book two working days ahead; bring your measured lift and corridor dimensions. Locally, several Tai Seng and Eunos warehouse display units, but stock rotates weekly. Always bring a tape measure and your floor plan, because show-floor sofas often look smaller in a 1,000 sq ft Tampines flat than in a 4,000 sq ft showroom.
What paint colour goes with a beige fabric sofa in a Punggol BTO?
Warm white (e.g., Dulux Snowfield or Nippon Soft White) keeps the room bright without clashing with beige. Soft greige walls like Dulux Natural White add quiet contrast if you want definition. Avoid stark cool grey—it fights beige and makes the room feel colder under aircon. A matte finish hides minor wall imperfections common in new BTO flats better than eggshell.
Are fabric sofas with removable covers worth the extra cost in Singapore?
Yes, removable covers can be washed at 30°C, which matters when the aircon breaks down or during haze season when windows stay shut. Expect to pay S$120–S$250 extra per seat for washable covers on a custom order. Keep a spare cover set so you are never without a sofa while one set dries. Most covers zip off without tools, taking about 5 minutes per seat.
Can I get a fabric sofa delivered to a high-floor Punggol unit without a freight lift?
Yes, but measure the passenger lift door and cabin depth first—most Punggol blocks have 80cm doors and 1.4m deep cabins. A 3-seater under 200cm wide, 90cm deep, usually fits if stood on end. If your unit is above the 7th floor and the lift is small, the delivery team may need to hoist via the service lift or staircase, adding S$80–S$150 to the bill.
What floor lamp shape suits a curved fabric sofa?
A slim arc floor lamp with a curved stem mirrors the sofa's silhouette without competing. Place it behind the sofa's left end so the light arches over the seating, not into your eyes. Total height around 150–165cm works beside a standard 85cm sofa back. A black or brushed brass stem adds warmth against light grey or oatmeal upholstery common in Tampines flats.
American country dining chair usa — what is the typical size I should expect?
American country dining chairs sold in the USA usually measure 48–52cm wide, 50–55cm deep, and 95–100cm tall at the backrest. The seat height sits around 45cm to pair with a 75–76cm dining table. Solid rubberwood or beech frames are common, often with a distressed painted finish. Allow 60–65cm per chair around the table so diners in your Jurong condo do not bump elbows.
Nordic rubberwood bed frame — is it strong enough for two adults?
Yes, a Nordic-style rubberwood bed frame with slats no more than 7cm apart easily handles two adults up to 240kg combined. Rubberwood has a Janka scale rating similar to maple, so it resists denting. Look for mortise-and-tenon joints, not just screws, at the side rails. A king frame usually measures 183x213cm outer, so check your lift door before ordering for a high-floor Tampines block.
Post-modern wardrobe korea — what makes the style different from a regular sliding wardrobe?
Korean post-modern wardrobes typically combine curved door fronts, asymmetric handles, and a mix of fluted glass with ribbed oak laminates. They run 240–280cm tall, 200–300cm wide, and 60cm deep, so they fit HDB bedroom walls without the bulk of a traditional four-door unit. Internal layouts usually include a dresser pull-out and soft-close drawers, popular in new Punggol and Jurong BTO bedrooms.
How long does delivery take for a custom fabric sofa to Singapore?
Production takes 25–35 days after the deposit clears, sea freight from Foshan to Singapore adds another 14–21 days, and local delivery is scheduled within 5 working days of arrival. Expect 6–8 weeks total for a custom order. Peak season (March and October) adds 7–10 days. GST on the CIF value is payable before the container is released, so budget an extra 9% on top.
What warranty should I expect on a fabric sofa bought in Singapore?
Reputable Foshan makers like MIDHILL offer a 10-year structural warranty on the hardwood frame, 2 years on the surface finish and zips, and lifetime refinishing for peeling or flaking. Warranty claims usually fail because of abrasive or high-pH cleaners, silicone polishes, or standing water on edges—a printed cleaning guide ships with every order, so keep it for reference.
Can a fabric sofa be hoisted through a HDB service window if the lift is too small?
Yes, HDB service windows are typically 90x120cm, and most 3-seater sofa bodies can be partially disassembled to fit. The legs and cushions come off, the frame is wrapped, and a rope team lifts from the corridor window. Expect to pay S$200–S$400 extra for high-floor units above the 10th floor. MIDHILL's export crates are engineered for stacking, so disassembly and reassembly take about 40 minutes on site.
How do I arrange a small HDB living room around a fabric sofa?
Start with the sofa against the longest wall, then place the TV console opposite at 2.4–3m viewing distance for a 55-inch screen. Add a 100x60cm coffee table 35–40cm in front of the sofa, and a slim floor lamp in the corner behind the sofa's arm. Leave 60cm walkway along the corridor side. In Bedok 4-room flats, this layout keeps the balcony and kitchen access fully clear.
Can a 3-seater fabric sofa actually fit through a Tampines HDB corridor?
Measure the lift door first — most HDB passenger lifts in Tampines, Bedok and Jurong blocks open about 80 cm wide and 200 cm tall. A standard 3-seater is roughly 200–210 cm wide, so it will NOT fit upright. You have two options: tilt it on its side (check fabric side doesn’t scrape the lift wall) or buy a modular sofa that splits into two boxes under 100 cm each. Always do a dry-run with empty cardboard before delivery day.
