The Modern Glam 9-Drawer Chest of Drawers is designed to thrive in Australian homes, where coastal humidity and long shipping distances pose unique challenges. This A$6270.00 piece combines modern aesthetics with practical durability, making it a perfect fit for renters and homeowners across Australia, from bustling cities like Sydney to more relaxed neighbourhoods in Melbourne. Let’s explore how it performs in Australian conditions and where it can enhance your living space.
This chest measures 120cm wide, 60cm deep, and 160cm high, offering generous 9 drawers arranged in a balanced 3x3 grid. Each drawer holds up to 10kg of items, ensuring ample storage for clothing, linens, and accessories. The matte milk-white finish is paired with gold metal trim and mixed pulls—long bar pulls and rounded knobs—that resist fading and wear, even in humid environments. The lacquer finish is UV-resistant, a crucial feature for coastal regions where sun exposure is intense.
The chest weighs 45kg, making it sturdy yet easy to move. Its solid oak construction ensures it withstands humidity without warping, a common issue in areas like Brisbane or Perth. Midhill homeowners might appreciate how its compact yet spacious design fits neatly in smaller entryways or living rooms. The gold trim adds a touch of luxury without attracting dust, which is ideal for dusty Australian summers.
This chest is perfect for Australian families living in rentals or owner-occupied homes. Renters value its durability—many Midhill residents prefer furniture that blends style with longevity, as frequent relocations can damage cheaper pieces. Homeowners in places like Sydney’s coastal suburbs or Melbourne’s suburbs will love its timeless design, which complements both modern and traditional decor.
The 9 drawers are ideal for families with children, offering organized storage for toys, crafts, and seasonal clothing. For those in humid regions, the chest’s moisture-resistant finish prevents mold growth, a concern in areas like Darwin or Cairns during the wet season. Its lightweight design also means it won’t add excessive weight to rental properties, a bonus for those renting in areas like inner-city Sydney.
The Modern Glam Chest works well in multiple Australian spaces:
The chest’s durability is a plus in regions prone to humidity, such as the Gold Coast. Unlike cheaper furniture that might swell in moisture, this piece maintains its shape year-round, ensuring it stays in place for years.
In a coastal home, pair the chest with blue or grey accessories to evoke the ocean. The gold trim will stand out against darker walls, creating a focal point. For a minimalist look, keep the chest bare except for a few curated items.
Midhill homeowners might mimic local interior trends by layering rugs under the chest or adding indoor plants to soften the space. In a tropical climate, the matte white finish reflects light, keeping the room bright during hot Australian summers.
For a more bohemian touch, mix the chest with colourful textiles. In a home near the Great Barrier Reef, coral-hued linens could complement the gold trim. The chest’s versatility makes it adaptable to any Australian style, from beachy to bushy.
The Modern Glam Chest is more than just storage—it’s an investment for Australian living. Its resistance to humidity, UV damage, and dust makes it a practical choice for homes across the country. Whether you’re in a bustling city or a quiet coastal town, this chest will enhance your space for years to come. For homeowners in Midhill or elsewhere, its blend of style and durability ensures it fits seamlessly into daily life, no matter the season.
