Living in Singapore, where HDB flats and condos are the norm, requires smart, space-saving furniture. This guide explores the Modern Glam 9-Drawer Chest of Drawers, a versatile storage solution for Singapore's small and humid living spaces.

Size Matters: Dimensions and Weight

With dimensions of 90cm (W) x 50cm (D) x 110cm (H) and a weight of 45 kg, the Modern Glam Chest of Drawers fits seamlessly into even the tiniest of rooms. Its compact design is ideal for Singapore's 4-room flats, where every square centimeter counts.

Room for Everything: Generous Storage Space

This dresser offers a generous 9 drawers, arranged in a balanced 3x3 grid, providing ample storage for clothing, linens, and accessories. In a country where the monsoon season brings a deluge of clothing and bedding, having a well-organized space like this is invaluable.

Measuring Up: Clearances and Room Layouts

Ensure a smooth fitting by leaving at least 70cm clearance for opening the drawers, even in the narrowest of hallways. This is especially important in areas like MIDHILL, where space is at a premium.

Beyond Bedrooms: Versatile Storage Options

Don't limit this dresser to the bedroom. Its modern aesthetic and storage capabilities make it perfect for the living room, entryway, or even a home office in Singapore's bustling urban neighborhoods.

Style That Shines: Design and Materials

The matte milk-white lacquer paired with delicate gold metal trim adds a touch of luxury to any space. This elegant combination reflects Singapore's appreciation for modern design and quality craftsmanship.

Cost-Effective Storage: The Price Point

At S$6270.00 per piece, the Modern Glam 9-Drawer Chest of Drawers offers excellent value for its storage and design. It's an investment that will last for years, complementing your space as your needs evolve.

Maintaining Perfection: Care and Maintenance

In Singapore's humid climate, it's essential to keep furniture dry. The Modern Glam Chest of Drawers is designed to withstand the elements, but regular cleaning and avoiding direct sunlight will ensure it remains in pristine condition.

The Final Verdict: A Must-Have for Singaporeans

For those navigating the challenges of living in a small space in Singapore, the Modern Glam 9-Drawer Chest of Drawers is an indispensable piece of furniture. Its smart design, generous storage, and stylish appearance make it a perfect match for your home.

Assembly and Structural Integrity

The chest arrives fully disassembled, requiring approximately 90 minutes to assemble with two people. The internal skeleton uses high-density MDF instead of solid wood, which significantly reduces the risk of warping in Singapore’s fluctuating humidity levels. Each of the nine drawers slides on 40mm-wide ball-bearing runners, supporting a static load of up to 35kg per compartment—sufficient for heavy stoneware mugs or folded wool blankets without sagging. The gold trim is not merely decorative but is integrated into the corner reinforcement brackets, adding structural rigidity to the 90cm-wide frame.

Energy Efficiency of Drawer Access

While often overlooked, the ergonomic design of the drawer handles reduces physical strain during daily use. The recessed gold metal pulls are angled at 15 degrees, allowing users to slide open all nine drawers using just the fingertips, rather than gripping and pulling. This is particularly beneficial for elderly residents or those with arthritis in Singapore’s aging population. the soft-close mechanism integrated into the runners operates at a speed of 0.2 meters per second, eliminating the clashing noise of traditional wooden drawers and ensuring quiet operation during early morning or late-night usage in compact shared living spaces.
